Core Values

  • Truth: We are committed to proclaiming, teaching and applying God’s unchanging truth (as revealed in the Bible) to our selves, community and world. (“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever” – Isa. 40:8 / “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32 / “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6 / “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.” – Eph. 4:15 / "I have become all things to all people that by all means, some may be rescued." – I Cor. 9:22b; see I Cor. 9:19-23)
  • Faith: We are committed to trusting in God’s promises and relying on his power in all that we do (“being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” – Rom. 4:21 / “And without faith it is impossible to please God…” – Heb. 11:6a)
  • Relationships: We are committed to developing loving relationships with God, one another, and others including those who need Jesus in their life. (“’The most important one,’ answered Jesus, ‘is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.’” – Mark 12:29-31 / “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35)
  • Excellence: We are committed to doing all things well “as unto the Lord” recognizing that God gave his best for us. (“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men…It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” – Col. 3:23, 24b)
  • Grace: We are committed to sharing the undeserved love of God with the goal of building up, not beating up, broken people. (“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” – 2 Peter 3:18a)
  • Prayer: We are committed to being a praying people, believing that prayer is essential to dynamic Christian life and ministry (“pray continually” – I Thess. 5:17; “They devoted themselves to… prayer” – Acts 2:42)
